I wholeheartedly soak up every moment of the weekend because it feels like the perfect opportunity for me to be myself and to live in the moment. This is a strangely welcome season of life with much freedom, peace and quiet. . . at least on the weekends, anyway. My weekdays are filled with work, traffic, and the everyday routine of what must be done. But the weekend...ahhh, weekend...that is "my" time. Time to think, rest and be creative. I know this season won't last forever. One day I may have children to care for or other responsibilities that demand my attention. But, for now I will relax and take in the beautiful moments that make up a perfectly lazy Saturday!I love sitting outside on our balcony watching hummingbirds with our cats--careful little birdies!

The Heart of Dixie Train runs year-round with seasonal events for kids of all ages. It is quite the tourists' attraction!
